Hyderabad, India

Brandi and I just got back from an awesome opportunity to serve some precious people in India. We got to be involved in 5 nights of music festivals and evangelical outreaches, 3 days of Pastors & Leaders training for local ministers. We also got to help out with 2 medical outreaches and feed about 140 children at some local ministers home. Here's some pics.

Brandi and I at an airport with a cool ad sign. We had an hour flight to Houston, 9 hour flight to Frankfurt, Germany & a 10 hour flight to Hyderabad, India. Then, we took a 6 hour bus ride (NOT on Greyhound) to Nandyal, India. Where we did 2 nights of Music Festival.

Left, representing Dallas, TX is Kelly Finegan. Above us, representing Georgia, Kelly Pitts. Both young ladies attended Elevate, HPC's Internship/Bible College, with me.

OK. India's driving.... CRAZY!! Big blue bus on the right is coming over into our lane just before that other yellow truck hits it. Constand passing, constant 3 car wide on a 2 lane road. Don't know why they paint centerlines. Nobody cares.

Brandi is throwing down the PREACH at the leader's training in Kurnool. She shared a GREAT word on PERSERVERANCE. Talk about a Proverbs 31 woman!!

3 future leaders of India's Body of Christ. The young generation in India is ON FIRE for Jesus! Look forward for an outpouring of His Spirit in India over the next 10-20 years.

This is Allen, lead singer of "Sounds of the Nation" performing at music festival in Kurnool. There a local Christian band in Hyderabad, India. They network with Joyce Meyer Ministries in India.

We went to visit Hyderabad's biggest temples of god worship. Very interesting.

These are the kids that we got to speak with and help feed. A local couple there takes in over 100 kids several times a week and gives them food, and teaches them bible stories and songs. Great outreach in the city of Kurnool.

Some of our team from HPC and LifeChurch in TN teaming up to lead worship in Nandyal.

Another cool Jada moment

I pick up Jada from nursery and take her home. Then, the coolest thing happened, she grabs my shirt and pulls me to her little bed and tells me to sit. Then she climbs up on the bed and tells me to lay down on the pillow, "Daddy, night-night." she says. So, I comply and then she crawls next to me and scoots over and snuggles up next to me to watch her DVD with me.

If she didn't have all of me before that, she has all of me now... (In a daddy-daughter kind of way)

Siding Done, Windows & Doors Installed

We're waiting for the tub to come in and the plumber can finish and the A/C guys can finish. We're about 95% done with the framing, so those guys will be done too. Next is the electrical wiring and rough in. We also will be digging a trench to get city water from Bluff Road back to our lot, that's about 800-850 feet of digging and piping.

We'll also be ready for roof installation. I dabbled with the idea of installing the roof myself. Then climbed up those scaffolds you see below and noticed how I tensed up so much while scaling the roof. Then, REVELATION came to me! Let the pros do it, STUPID! Before you fall and break your neck.

I love this shot above. This is the back of our lot, which ends about 15 feet before the pond starts. The big double door at the top right of the house is our bedroom. We'll have a deck built overlooking the pond. It's gonna be nice to sit out there and drink coffee and watch the sun set.

Above is the front of the house. That's the main bathroom on the top floor. That's the creative space engineering our architects did to fit our BIG bath tub in that small house.

Here's a similar tub we found at Southern Kitchen & Bath. The bottom is flat, but its made for two.

On the left is our row of electric poles coming to the property. This was done this week. The poles run along the property line. To the left is Bluff Road Elementary under construction. To the left is Brandi & my lot. The house is off screen to the right. The pond is directly to my right.

Again, the back of the house and our little storage shed Brandi's dad is constructing. Little room in the house for storage, so we'll take full advantage of that shed.

Here's the front. The cypress beams are going in soon. 5 of them across the front. We'll also have some cypress detailing on top of main door. Yes, we need a clean up day, I know!
